True Satisfaction

According to dictionary.com;

To satisfy:
verb, -fied, -fy-ing.
–verb (used with object)
1.
to fulfill the desires, expectations, needs, or demands of (a person, the mind, etc.); give full contentment to: The hearty meal satisfied him.
2.
to put an end to (a desire, want, need, etc.) by sufficient or ample provision: The hearty meal satisfied his hunger.
3.
to give assurance to; convince: to satisfy oneself by investigation.
4.
to answer sufficiently, as an objection.
5.
to solve or dispel, as a doubt.
6.
to discharge fully (a debt, obligation, etc.).
7.
to make reparation to or for: to satisfy an offended person; to satisfy a wrong.
8.
to pay (a creditor).
9.
Mathematics.
a.
to fulfill the requirements or conditions of: to satisfy a theorem.
b.
(of a value of an unknown) to change (an equation) into an identity when substituted for the unknown: x = 2 satisfies 3x = 6.

If someone would tell me that he/she has/will never find satisfaction in his/her life, well I don't think so. Even the dictionary itself says that to fulfill the desires/expectation/needs/demands on one's heart. Everyone, as far as this earth exists, has experienced satisfaction in one's life. Despite of any race you are, satisfaction has at least once occured in your life. Even the least of these, when you're hungry and finished eating and that you're full, you find fulfillment of your stomach. So I can't believe that no one has found satisfation at all.

Those people who tell me that they have never found true satisfaction in their life, then those people have to start fulfilling their desire of their hearts. True Satisfaction works with Happiness. Yes, I'm playing with words here. To be happy is to be delight, find pleasure, satisfaction and contentment. Well no one can be satisfied if one is not happy at all because to be able to fufill the contentment(desire) of one's heart, he/she must HAPPY! Once happy, one can find true satisfaction.

Many people nowadays they complain a lot that they don't like this and that. Well life is not made up only of good things. Those people must understand that life is a journey, not an ending point. It's the same like satisfaction, well in some ways. Let me explain. Satisfaction is the fulfillment of one's heart, yeah this is correction, but I believe that once satisfied, he/she continues to have other needs and wants. Most of them have greater needs and wants. So those needs and wants need to be satisfied. How??? Well that's simple. I've said it already before! :P It's to fulfill the desire of once's heart. To to fulfill, well it depends on your situation. If you're hungry, you have to buy food or cook yourself. If you want money, you have to work hard for that or you can ask your parents or you go to the bank and take from the ATM! And so on...

So why people still think that they haven't found satisfaction yet? This is the question that I'm still asking myself...

Updates of this guy named Robin

Yes and yes I know... Since the first day of holidays, I've been Missing In Action (MIA)... Well what can you do when you're on holidays? :p hehe... There's a lot of things that I have to catch up on my blog on. So I'll give a summary of each.

Choir Outing
Choir Subteam Outing
Asia Conference 2008
Now in Mauritius!

CHOIR OUTING

Soon after exams ended, all the subteam leaders in choir together with our beloved choir leader Hazel, to organize a choir outing for the Choir Ministry. Well in the midst of preparing, we had to join the outing with the Cafe Ministry as we were doing BBQ Party and if we combined, it'll save cost and Cafe Ministry would help us to prepare the BBQ as well. Anyway it was our choir member who prepared the delicious chicken wings BBQ!!! I didn't know that apart from singing they can also make BBQ!!! AWESOME!!! :D

During the outing, we played some games where I was the game master for that night event. I was really honored to lead the games. At that night as we started to play the first game, it was not really fun. The 2nd game was at least better. We played the one you have to find signature from other ppl. After that we played some sort of charade. We had to line up ourselves into 4 groups. Then each group have to select one leader. As the leader is chosen, I gave them each a sentence to mine it out, no sound was allowed. Then they have to mine it out to their group until the last person guess what is the sentence. It was really fun that everyone enjoyed themselves. Meanwhile other people were preparing the BBQ.

SUBTEAM OUTING

Since we had our choir outing, I've decided that I'll have my own subteam outing. Ever since in the choir outing, a lot of people got to know me because all the while they thought that I'm Malaysian all this while. Well since when was I a Malaysian anyway? So yeah, I made my subteam outing so that I can get to know my own subteam members more and vice versa.

Since I'll be going to Asia Conference and going back to Mauritius, it was a right timing for me to make my subteam outing. So we went to watch the movie Madagascar 2. At first when I suggested this movie to my members, they were not really keen to watch this but anyway I'm their subteam leader, so I had no other choice by taking this movie as 1 of us was under-aged and most of the movies were 18 rated for their violence. After watching the Madagacar movie, we all talked about it. Then they all started to bully me coz they don't like to watch High School Musical 3 but I love it because of the dances and the songs. Anyway at least each and everyone had some fun. Afterwards we went to Wendy's and then we rushed for our choir practice. I'm proud because nobody was late from my subteam was late for practice! :)

ASIA CONFERENCE 2008

Asia Conference is one of the largest conference ever in Asia!!! It is hosted by City Harvest Singapore where all the delegates throughout Asia were invited. Guess how many ppl attended for this event? There were more than 25,000 people from Asia during this event! It was huge!!! Top world speakers were invited such as Rev Kong Hee (host), Dr. A.R Bernard, Dr Phil Pringle& wife, Pst Ulf Ekman, and Pst Benny Hinn. It was a 5-day conference. Although that it was from early morning till late night, it was all worth going down to Singapore. Lunch and dinner were provided and I've never seen so many people running and line up to get food!

As I'm from the West Zone, I was staying in Eton Hall. It's quite a nice place to stay but the problem was when have to take shower. Well basically, the most irritating and the most fun part of this trip to Singapore is the queuing up. We had to queue up for everything. When we stayed at Eton Hall, we had to queue up early in the morning to take shower and to brush teeth. After getting ready, too the bus and reached Expo Hall, we also had to queue up. After attending the sessions, we had our lunch, and guess what? We also had to queue up, fight for the place to get a nice seats and table to sit. Well everything we had to queue up and the queue is not a simple normal queue. It's a extra super duper extraordinarily long queue!!! Even when I go for concert, we don't queue up like that. This is the best and well organized queue that I've ever seen. Good job to the ushers and the security team there! :)

NOW IN MAURITIUS

Yes!!! I'm now in Mauritius, just after Asia Conference. I've been so tired during Asia Conference that I went in the plane and slept during the whole journey. But unfortunately I was woken up by this stewardest for food. I can tell you that the food was horrible!!! Usually the food are quite nice but I don't know why I could take any of them. I wanted to watch movie in the plane but most of the movie, I've watched it already. Oh yeah, I had to transit to Singapore before I go to Mauritius and I met this particular person who sat next to me. It's no other than my cousin's ex girlfriend. I didn't expect and her and she didn't expect me neither. So we talked for a while and then during the whole flight, we didn't talk at all. Well to be specific, she didn't want to talk to me. Actually I don't know if I should say this, but she didn't have a good reputation in our family as what she did to my cousin and what girl she is. Anyway, no more comments about it.

As I landed to Mauritius, I could breathe in this familiar air... the fresh air of Mauritius! :) It was so fresh that I've missed it so much. As usual, on my way back, I went to Shopprite Supermarket with my mum and sis to buy some stuffs for dinner. As soon as I reached home, I talked for a while with my aunt and to my dad as well. After that I went to put my luggage in my room and I don't know what happened, I faint on the bed until the next day. That day they cooked Fried Noodles for me as I've requested before I reached Mauritius. Yeah so the next day I woke up, I was unaware where was I. This place looked so familiar. I was lost! I looked at the time, it was 6AM. Soon I realised that I was in my room in Mauritius. I woke up, I went down the stairs to the kitchen, I looked at the clock, it was 3AM time of Mauritius!!! Wow!!! Unbelievable!!! No wonder everywhere was so dark and nobody awake at this time. I thought it was 6AM but it was the time of Malaysia! *sigh* After looking at the time on the clock, I saw a note on the table saying that there was fried noodles in the fridge and I just need to warm it up in the oven. So in the middle of the night, I ate fried noodles alone as I was seriously and terribly hungry!!! Well I didn't know what I do at 3AM so I went online and I found some people online! hehe... Some early birds of Malaysia! hehe... Actually it's not only that day that I woke up at 3AM, but during the other days also. I think that I got so used to the Singapore time. Yeah Singapore time because during Asia Conference, I had to wake up at 6AM sharp. So I woke up in Mauritius automatically without putting the alarm. Haha!!! I was so excited to go back to Asia Conference. Anyway now enjoying holidays in Mauritius, meeting friends and relatives and I have been eating lots of food and I've been fed in abundance!!! :)

-will post pictures soon, when i have time- :P

Holidays... Finally...

It's been a while that I haven't blog. Well the reason behind is this, is because firstly, I'm on holiday! Wohoo!!! Secondly I'm bored, that's why I don't really know what to blog about. I feel that I WANNA SHOUT OUT LOUD!!!! Why??? Because I have nothing interesting to do.

Once I had my first day of holiday, I was so excited. So I wanted to plan up what are the things to be done. I got to call up friends to go out for movie and it's done. I've been watching 3 movies in 2 days. I watched first and second movie with Jessie, my subteam member. Actually there was supposed to be others as well but in the end couldn't make it. Anyway I got to plan with her the games for our Choir Outing. I've watched Eagles Eye and Max Payne. The next day I went to watch Bangkok Dangerous with Hendra, Joy and Justin. After that I had quite a busy weekend in organizing our Choir outing. It was fun! I will post it in my next post! :)

Then after all these... It's boring... want to go out, but I realised that I've spent too much in the past few days. No money, no entertainment!!! :( So at home life is boring... The next boring thing is that I sent my laptop to be formatted and I will only get it by the end of the week latest. Just imagine, on holidays and broke and laptop, life is so boring when being laptop-less!!! So I just went to Edi's house to watch DVDs and watch him and Ray play online game. On the other hand, I'm waiting for my beloved parents to decide if they want to go on a family trip or I go back straight away. So somehow I'm stuck in Malaysia until further notification. I hope that i can be home and i have everything. My parents will just give me food and we will go out together and I will meet up my friends as well. Well it's so much easy to be near my parents where I can enjoy everything.

Anyway this is a boring post, maybe, so keep in touch guys!!!!

I've been robbed for a milo ice!!!

I've been robbed today!!! This is very sad but it's true. I never thought that this thing could happened to me. Why does it have to happen after church? This is what happened today.

After church service, I went to have my lunch with my friends at Medan known as the Rock Cafe, somewhere nearby Sunway University College. So this place is quite a nice place to eat, because I think that there's a lot of varieties to eat there. So I ordered the Chak Fan and then later on I ordered a milo ice. I was really thirsty at that time, so I had to wait for my milo for quite long as I got my food already. Soon I got my milo and I paid for the guy while I was eating. I couldn't wait as I haven't eaten at all since morning and I was already 2pm!!!

I paid RM10 to the guy and the milo is only RM1.80!!! You know what happened? That guy never give me back my change! So I ask any waiter who was walking by for my change. So he went to check and then come back with other waiters and say that there's no change. How can it be that there's no change??? So they ask every of the waiters working there but in vain. NO CHANGE!!! So I was fed up of waiting and I had to go already. I then went to meet up the boss together with Jason. So the boss went and gathered all the waiters and to check on them. Still no more. The thing is that I paid RM10, you see. They should have money more but I have no idea how they count that. As a result, the boss said, "I'm sorry, nobody has it unless you tell you who is the waiter among these and I shall ask him to give back!" HOW WOULD I KNOW THAT I HAVE TO RECOGNIZE THE WAITER'S FACE??? The boss said that in future I must do that else he cannot do anything for me! What the heck is that??? So for my own benefit I have to check who is taking my order like that? All the waiters look the same to me, how will I know that? Should I tell him, "Hey wait, I don't move, I take your picture first!"?

Usually there's a saying that says that the customer is King! So even the boss is not willing to just give me back my change. So just imagine guys, I paid a milo ice for RM10!!! Some more he didn't ask me to pay for the milo again also. Well I went home, with a long face and just let it be. Since he said that he can't do anything about it. I just wanted my money back man! There's no big deal! Just imagine if it was RM50! What would you do in my place?

Mamma Mia & Carl's Jr

This week, Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd were two days I had for public holiday here in Malaysia. It's called Hari Raya! It's the Muslims Festival, some sort of new year after their one month of fasting. Well I admire those muslims who really fast for one whole month. :)

As the title says it all, Mamma Mia is the movie that I've watched recently. Not only that, I've watched it 2 times in the space of one week. Wow!!! Although that I've watched it twice, I laughed again and enjoyed the movie though. Usually when I watch a movie, I won't go and watch again, but this one, it's a MUST-WATCH-MOVIE!!!

Monday is the first day of the week and I went to watch with Hazel with the company of Crystal and Andrew. I went to meet Hazel and her gang in Midvalley at around 8PM. I had my dinner with the gang and soon Crystal and Andrew came along. After fulfilling my stomach's need, we rushed for the movie. All the trailers had already started and we had to walk in the dark to find our seats. Seats found! So we watched and laughed like crazy at this movie. After the movie ended, I was so blessed to have Andrew to drive me home and for Hazel to bless me with the movie ticket. I was really blessed.

Wednesday is another day where it was public holiday and Ray called me to get ready to go to Midvalley. At first I thought that he just wanted to buy something there but he wanted to watch movie with Edi. On the other hand, Edi told me that he was going "dating" so he cannot go out with me, but I ended up with him anyway. Well I didn't want to disturb him in his "date", so Ray and I bought another ticket to watch Mamma Mia, since other movie is too late to watch. Then we went in another movie hall whereas Edi and *ahem* went to another movie hall. Since Ray and I haven't taken our breakfast nor our lunch, at 2PM we decided to go and eat the most delicious and the best huge burger that we can ever see in town! Well you have guess it right! It's Carl's Jr Burger!!!

This is the only burger and French fries that you will not be deceived by the size they put in the newspapers or magazines or ads. I think the burger is even bigger than the ads itself. That's why it says in the ads, "When you go to Carl's Jr, you get yourself embarrassed by asking a small burger because that doesn't exist in Carl's Jr!" Well what they say it's true. Even you try to order the smallest burger there, it's bigger than one BigMac in McD!!!

Back to the movie!!! I like the songs inside the movie, although they are old but it brings back your childhood somehow. I pretty amazed by how they can relate all these songs into this one movie! Since I've studied Film & Arts Appreciation, my perspective of watching a movie is totally different now. I like how they made this plot into life. Another thing that I like is about the actors and actress, they can ask really good. I think that I'd prefer Mammia Mia compared to High School Musical. Although HSM has original songs, but the acting in Mammia Mia is the best, somehow you can relate. Whereas in HSM, it's just fake, nothing you can relate to your actual life. It's kind of fairy tale musical. Sorry for all HSM fans if I offended you, especially those back in Mauritius.

To end this post, I just want to share with you, real commercials of Carl's Jr burgers. Enjoy!!! :)

An attitude of excellence and of a conquerer!

This is the first thought that I had on Monday morning. I was thinking that a lot of people in life, when problems come their way, they find it too difficult to cope. They somehow see a big mountain (Rong- don't make fun of me, k?) in front of them and they feel discouraged. They thought that this is the dead end so they make a U-turn and go back to the same routine. But let me tell you something, I am not like that!

Why do people give up so easily? What are they afraid of? Is there any solution? Well let me tell you what I think. A lot of people see the big mountain as a problem that is so big and so huge that they think that it's impossible to climb. I see this big mountain as a opportunity to breakthrough. I see every problem as a challenge to overcome. We ought to see every problem as an opportunity else we can't move any further.

I saw and met a lot of people having difficulties in their lives and they are just negative thinkers. They cannot overcome their big mountains. Somehow you must spoon-feed them so that they can move on. But when you don't do anything about it, then they are stuck there. Ok you may not understand what I'm talking about. Let me give you an example. I have this friend that I'm training how to sing, so I'll tell the guy, "Hey I know you can do it, just give your best." He will tell me, "Ok boss, I will do it but every time I keep trying I can't do it." I really really really hate people who has this kind of mindset. If you want to do something that you have to overcome, you must come with an attitude of excellence. Don't come to me and say that you will do it but... blah blah blah... I hate the word BUT when you got to overcome something in your life. If you ever someone tells me that he can do it BUT something something something..., then I'll kick his butt!!! Sorry for the expression but it just make me feel that I'm wasting my time. Well I'm not being bad here. I'm just saying that people tend to forget that they have the ability to overcome and become a conquerer. It's just that a lot of people they don't see their potential to be one, which is pretty sad to hear that.

Well for all the losers and give-upers out there, my point here is that you all have a potential to overcome and become a conquerer. Once you become one, you're being this attitude of excellence within you. See every problem as an opportunity to breakthrough! Don't stay as a newcomer, now it's time for you to be an overcomer!

2nd voice - Part 2

In my previous post I was saying that 2nd voice can be sung by everybody. Well the fact is that it's the truth. I've finally reached a level where I can sing 2nd voice in some songs, especially the song Freedom! Well it was become a trend in our church now, that everybody has been singing this song in their head over and over again since last service.

Anyway why did I say that it can be sung by everybody because people felt discouraged when they know that they can't sing 2nd voice. Well to tell you the truth, I was among those people. Back home in my church, I was in the worship team and a lot of them can sing 2nd voice. When I tried to sing 2nd voice, I was being rebuke because I was not singing it in the right tune. People never taught me but they taught others. I felt very discouraged at that time. It's like nobody ever care for me. Maybe somehow I was being too superior in my things, that's why I felt kind of rejected in some ways. Well you might not understand what I'm talking about right now but just imagine this scenario. You try to do something that people is doing, but you get scolded for doing it wrong and they never correct you by showing you how to do it properly. How do you get to know how to do something in a right manner if nobody corrects and show you the proper way of doing it? How would you feel that you got rebuke for doing wrong but never ever helps out? Some sort of rejection right? Well that's what I felt in the beginning. But now I don't bother about it anymore. Like Pastor Kevin said, "God can forgive and forget but humans can forgive but cannot forget!" Not in a way to revenge but it's in my memories that I can't forget it.

I'm not boasting now that I know how to sing 2nd voice. I'm just sharing how I felt before and now I'm feeling now. Now I finally can sing 2nd voice, it's quite easy. I had to go through a lot of training but I finally got it. I learned a lot through the choir practice and this enlarged my capacity. I've finally learned some singing techniques as well. As you have heard this: "Practice makes perfect". Since Saturday I've been practising and practising again and again, until I can sing the 2nd voice of some songs, which is a new beginning for me. :)

Everybody can sing 2nd voice!!! :D We don't need to have some special kind of talent to be able to sing 2nd voice. Maybe to some people they can, but not everyone is skillful in music right? God has given each and everyone a special talent. So don't let it die, use it!!! If we're not skillful in one particular area, it doesn't matter. We don't have to be discouraged, but press on. As I used this expression in my presentation last week, "Fake it until you make it!" You have to fake your emotions and your capacity that you can do it and indeed your effort will be fruitful. It's just like my 2nd voice singing.

Well to conclude this post, I don't have the skill to teach 2nd voice yet, but it will come soon! So in the meanwhile, just do your best as your side as well. Do your best until you excel. There's nothing to be ashamed of when you become the best. You don't have to be so humble. hehehe...

2nd voice can be sung by everybody! :)

Well I have not been blogging for quite long, I know that I've been quite busy lately. Since I've been promoted to be the new sub team leader for the choir ministry, my capacity has been stretched and increased my level of faith as well. Well it's a challenge for me but it's all good! :)

At home, during my free time, recently, I've been practising my guitar so that I can play during choir practice on Sundays. Actually I go on both days, Saturday and Sunday. I enjoy going on both days because I just enjoy helping out people. I really like the Sunday team also because I see them, most of the time sleepy. Of course our practice on Sunday is at 8:30am and we all have to wake up very early. Some stay very far from church, so they have to wake up at 6AM or 5AM. Well depends on the area they are. For me, I have to wake up at 6AM so that I can get ready to come on time. The reason that I love to see those people is that they come on time to stay our practices although they have a sleepy face. I'm happy to see them in their sleepy faces, coz I will wake them up! hehe... I will greet them aloud! :)

I don't only practice guitar at home but I've been in choir for quite long now and I've learned that everyone can sing 2nd voice, which is either Alto or Tenor. Recently I've been practising the 2nd voice in quite a few songs and lately we sang the song Freedom by CCC and it's really amazing I must say. We had to sing it during this weekend in church and nobody knew the song. Well I tried to find the song and went on this and that website and suddenly I found a Youtube where it's a singing tutorial. (I never thought that there was such thing before)

So here is the song Freedom by CCC, singing in parts! :)

Enjoy ^-^

Good news and Bad news

Hey hey hey!!! I have a lot of things to share for today. Well a lot of things happening to me, good and bad. Let's hear the bad news first...

Emerge, as I said in my last post, was great! Before Emerge, I had to go through a lot of problems with the renewal of my visa. If I don't renew my visa, I might be deported from Malaysia. If you don't understand the word deported, it's like being kick out of the country in a literal way. I'm not sure how they will do that. Maybe pay me a ticket to go back, or just throw me into the oceans; which is very scary. Anyway none of these has happened. I had to renew my visa and there were a lot of procedures to be done. I had to go to the Records Office and count my attendance of the past 1 year in UCSI. So I had to look through all the piles of files of attendance sheets from 2007 till now. To tell you the truth, it's such a waste of time. Like Malaysians will say, "Haya very mafan lor!!!" (which means it's very troublesome). Yes!!! Very mafan!!! Not only that, I had to the finance office there so that I can chop from them and come back to the Records Office. The problem is that I haven't paid the school fees yet for the next semester(which is this semester), so they won't give me the chop. I told them I can't get an amount any sooner and I really need to renew my visa. Guess what was their answer??? You try to guess. This was the worst answer that I could ever get from someone that I really feel like punching. The answer was "Sorry you have to pay the school fees, I can't help you in that, it's not my problem!" WHAT??? NOT YOUR PROBLEM??? So all you think is just money and money and money??? I tell you, I wanted to slap that lady but I didn't because I don't usually slap ladies ok? I'm a gentleman!!! hehehe... Anyway in the end I went to Immigration department and explained to the malay lady there and guess what was her answer. It was also not her problem according to what she said. Well I'm quite disappointed with the attitude of some Malaysians. They don't really know how to speak to people, especially foreigners.

After few days, I could finally resolved this problem. I had to talk to the Senior Director of Student Affairs to help me to solve this problem without having to pay for any late fee fine for the renewal of the visa. He talked to the Senior Director of the Immigration to grant me a plead for not paying the fine and giving me time to pay for the school fees. Well it will only be granted if I would write a letter of appeal. Indeed I wrote the letter and all the problem was solved. I tell you, I really praise God because I don't have to pay any fine for the late renewal! :)

Ok another bad news is that I was sick for one whole week, which is quite sad to hear. I had all sort of sickness such as Flu, Fever, Coughing, Dizzyness, then I felt very weak throughout this week. Well I was struck by all these kind of sickness since Sunday. That's why I couldn't make it to church on that day. I tell you, if you were struck by all these sicknesses in one day, you would definitely stay in bed for one whole day, which happened to me. From morning till night, until the next day, I was in bed. I almost didn't eat because I didn't feel like eating. Just imagine how weak I was. So you pity me or not? haha!! Well you shouldn't because now I'm fully recovered already! hehe... Praise God! I just got fully recovered today! :)

Oh... oh... why am I ending the story? Actually the worst thing that happened during my illness was that I was sick one day and then other day I'm recovered and the other day I became sick again, which I don't know why it came back. So I had to see the doctor. Usually I don't like to see doctors, well who likes it anyway? During the consultation, I told the doctor that I felt very weak, which I don't know why. So he said that it might be Dengue Fever, which Ray, who brought me there, was afraid of it. So I did a blood test, just in case. As a result, no Dengue fever, Praise God! :) The latter came me antibiotics and told me not to drink tap water, etc... So from that time onwards, I buy my own water to drink to fight against any dengue that comes my way!!! AWAY ALL DENGUE!!!

Last but not least, this is a very super duper good news to announce to all of you!!! I GOT PROMOTED!!! Wohoo!!! I'm so happy!!! Today I went for choir practice and this was so unexpected. My choir leader told me that I was promoted to be the Sub-Team Choir Leader. Wow!!! Since our choir is very big now, we had to divide into sub teams, where I am the leader. Wow wow wow!!!! I still can't believe it. It means that I have few peoples under me. I can't believe it because I've joined choir ministry not so long ago I must say. I just joined since May of this year and now it's September already!!! 5months only then I get a promotion!!! How could it be??? I'm overjoyed now I must say. I may sound a bit crazy but that's the way I'm feeling now. But I must really praise God for that, to give me this opportunity to be a Sub-Team leader. This encourages me also because I will have small disciples under me to take care and it stirs me to set the right example to them in everything I do. It tells me that I have a big responsibility now! It may sound insane to you but it's really a privilege for me to serve in the choir ministry in City Harvest Church. Indeed a blessing!!! :)

Here comes September

Hey hey hey!!! Yeah guys, it's already September, I can't imagine that time flies so fast!!! Last month was pretty busy month especially with EMERGE Conference. Well what I can tell you, is that EMERGE was a blast. It was awesome. If you want me to compare Passion Conference and Emerge conference, which one is the best? Well I can tell you that it's 2 different conferences and the atmosphere was different. It cannot be compared which one was the best because on both conferences I was truly blessed and touched by the presence of God and His Word.

In Passion, it stirs up my heart to make Jesus famous in my campus and to share it out to people passionately. Whereas for Emerge, it brought me into a new and higher level. I was taught how to be more creative for God is a creative God. I also learned about social etiquettes and how to choose the right partner during the workshops on Sunday. Lastly I've also learned that how to impact the marketplace. Emerge was 3 days, of course I'll learn more!! hehe... Well during Emerge, God has stretched my faith and capacity within me. I was physically and emotionally tired but God gave me strength in those times.

Well as I stated in the beginning, Here comes September. As some of you who don't know, my holidays were very and superly short that yesterday I'm back for classes already. This semester is a short semester, therefore I'll be busier than before because we have to learn a syllabus of 14weeks in 7weeks. Just imagine how fast it will be. Not only that, this month is also the fasting month for the muslims, which they call it the Ramadan. The interesting thing about Ramadan in Malaysia is this; all the food around becomes very very cheap!!! I don't know why but I can tell you that it's really cheap and this month might be a fattening month for me. haha!!! So don't be shocked if you see me a bit chubby and gain weight, I guess you would do so as well!!! haha!!!

Well let do hope that I don't get lazy as I grow "wider"!!! I know that I'll be busy and I've decided that I'll change a bit. Enough of onlining too much at home!!! I know that I'm always online and this leads me to laziness. Internet takes away my precious time that I can use for other things. Well from now on, I won't be that online often. If ever you see me online, it either means that I'm doing assignment or doing other work or if I put my status online, it means that I'm free to talk and I'm on holiday! haha!! Yeah I know that I'm a blogger and I won't give up blogging, no worries. It's just that I won't use my PC at home. I'll just use the computer lab because I realized that I'm paying a lot of school fees for nothing. I wasn't using library and computer lab often, especially the computer lab. The computer lab is freakying cold here and the internet is super duper slow, unless I get some computer which is slightly a bit faster. But anyway it's still very slow for me. I'll come here more of my time because I got no class in the morning. Most of my classes are in the afternoon and ends at 6pm!!! Can you imagine that? I haven't had until 6pm classes since 2006!!! Well I think that I have no choice, I have only 2 subjects that I have a chance to do and others don't get to do it. (well you know who you are)

Alright, that's all that I got to say here. I'm having class in a few mins. So I better go now. Please continue to read for more updates! :)

First thought on a Sunday morning

This is just insane for someone like me. First thing on a Sunday morning, what would be your first thought?

- What time is it?
- Am I late for something?
- Never mind, just sleep again...
- ???

Well I don't know for you but this is what happened to me on a delightful Sunday morning. I have thought of food!!! Can you believe it??? My first thought was food but not any type of food!!! I was craving for PORK!!!

P-O-R-K = PORK!!!

To tell you the truth, I haven't eaten pork for a very long time. I think it's more than one month or two. Well I think that I've eaten pork chop but personally it's not a real pork! What do I mean by that? Pork chop is being hammered by the cook and just fry it or just the pork chop that they buy the one that is factory made and just fry it! No no no!!! I hate that!!! Especially the factory made! It's called a fake pork chop! Anyway I don't really like to eat pork chop! Why? Because the real pork itself, the meat is tender and when you put it in your mouth, you can feel the fat, the meat and it's so.... Hmmm... Delicioussss!!! :D Do you get what I mean? Well only Pork lovers will understand what I'm talking about here!

I've read somewhere "No Pork, No Life!" Well somehow I've realized that it's kind of true. At first I was thinking, "huh! The person who wrote that has no life, just desperate for pork!" But now!!! Hehe... Actually I get what the person means by writing this. Pork really brings a kind of meaning in a life of a Chinese. Chinese are fond of Pork and they will eat it with everything. Pork brings taste in the life of Chinese community. That's the way to say it. I think that Chinese is the first race on earth to ever eat pork, because you can see all sorts of dishes with pork made by Chinese. Don't you think so?

I think that last time that I've eaten a real pork dish was back in Mauritius. It's called Moy Choy Niouk. In my family, I'm the only one who is the most fond of it and my mum knows it very well. (Mum, I hope you're reading this!!!) I tried to find on internet and in Mandarin it's called "Mui Choy Kau Yoke." It's one of the famous Hakka food in Mauritius. If you have no idea how does it look like, here it is:

Delcious!!!

A closer look at the delicious and juicy pork!!! Yummy!!!

It's very nice to see and sense it but unfortunately there's no smell that comes out from the pictures and I can't take it to put it in my mouth and to chew the tender and juicy meat and feel it!!! :'( It really make me feel like missing home now.

Anyway the thing about Malaysia is that there's not a lot of pork around in my area. If I buy pork in Giant, I must go to the Non Halal section. Well in Mauritius, we don't have such thing and in this Non-Halal Section, there's not so much choices of pork. But the thing about Malaysia is there's a type of food which is very famous for its pork! People say that it's originated from Klang! Yeah for some of you who have guessed it already, it's not other than the...

BAK KUT TEH!!!

Well it's not that bad to live in Malaysia after all. But I just to find the right people and the right place to eat all those delicious herbal pork soup! So what are you waiting for? Can you get it? I'm waiting for you to bring me and buy me a Bak Kut Teh??? You think that I just post this just to make you feel good about it? I'm not promoting or whatever, I want to eat PORK!!!

P-O-R-K = PORK!!!

GO-KARTING!!!!!

Some Updates before exams

Hello!!!!

Well I know that I haven't been writing blogs these days. I'm just back for a while then I'll be busy again. hehe... Pretty busy these days!!! (Why Robin is always busy???)

First I was busy with my cousins who just came for their honeymoon. Actually they went to Bali first then afterwards they came to KL to meet me and do some shopping! Well I enjoyed a lot during their visit here. I was really blessed by the food and clothes that I've received from them while shopping. It's really amazing how God blessed me with such cousins. We went to eat at Outback Steak House, Madam Kwan, Sushi and Secret Recipe. Just imagine, it's all very expensive and I don't go there often. I did manage to take a few pictures and here they are. (actually only in Madam Kwan as that's the only time I had the camera)

Me, Joyce and Voon

3 in 1 Food!!! Lucky Joyce!!!

Chicken Wings - Delicious and Crispy!!! Yummy!!!

Fried Sotong!!!

Beef Rendang!!!!

Set the Beef Rendang on my plate together with Nasi Lemak!!!

I've set everything on my plate now!!! Ready to eat!!! Banzai!!! :D

The food was so delicious!!! Well I couldn't take picture in the other places as it's on the other camera and the other camera is with my cousin!!! haha!!! But I really enjoyed all the food. Some of it I've never eaten before like Madam Kwan! First time going, but really worth going! :)

As you can see on my sidebar, my final exams is starting from next week Monday onwards. So that's why now I'm really busy "studying" in library so that I don't get access to the computer. There are 2 things that I get very tempted when I'm at home. First it's my bed and second is my laptop. To get ready of it, very easy, just go to the library! haha!!!

Well time to take off now! Ready to fly? FLYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! (the song I will fly is resounding in my head)

Passion World Tour - Kuala Lumpur

Hello people!!!! You have here a new Robin!!! If you knew the old Robin, well you better get to know the new one!!! He is no longer the same as he used to be! If you knew him as a quiet guy or maybe talkative, well let me tell you something, THIS GUY IS NO LONGER THE SAME!!!! He's more talkative than before, he's more passionate than before and not only that, he's crazier than before!!! Why why why??? It's all because of....

THE PASSION WORLD TOUR CONFERENCE!!!!

PASSION!!!

PASSION!!!

PASSION!!!

(taken from 268blog.com)

Yeah Robin went to Passion World Tour Conference!!!

Yesterday night was the passion conference and it was a blast!!! It was beyond my imagination. Yes I met Chris Tomlin and Charlie Hall for the first time! Guys, this conference is life changing man! Guess what? There were 4000 over people attending this conference and not only that, they were college students!!! I'm overwhelmed myself! 4000 students from KL universities gathered here in Sunway Convention Center. I tell you the hall was packed and all the tickets were SOLD OUT!!! Can you hear that? SOLD OUT!!! I've never heard of this before! If you go to any famous celebrity concert, I don't think that the tickets will be sold out! I even remembered last time I went for Backstreet Boys Concert, I didn't have to pay for it as I received a pair of free tickets. Recently Chris Daughtry came to Malaysia for a concert and free tickets were given out also. Why were they giving out free tickets? Well because there were not a lot of people buying and to come and attend the concerts. That is indeed the truth.

CROWD DURING PASSION CONFERENCE

Well Passion conference was indeed AWESOME!!! If you really want to know how awesome it is, actually it's INDESCRIBABLE! You should have come for this conference and experience it yourself. From the beginning till the end, it's just wonderful of how we all as one worship God in this place. They had a Fantastic Band which was absolutely marvelous! Wow!!! Since when my vocabulary has improved? :P From Awesome to Marvelous, well just imagine how GREAT this event was!!!

Passion World Tour KL - taken by me

On my arrival to Sunway Pyramid, I had to wait for this bunch of people from CF to come so that we can go together. Well it was worth waiting, I was enjoying those little girls ice skating. I've always enjoyed ice skating because there's a lot of agility and grace. Anyway it's going off topic already! So afterwards I met my bunch of friends and we ate at Wendy's! The burger is NICE!!! It's big and nice! Better than McD! Sorry McD, I was never your faithful customer anyway since you opened yourself in Mauritius! Alright after eating in Wendy's, we went to queue up from 4PM as the event starts at 6PM. Well being conscious that the 4000 tickets were sold out, I urged them to go early. But still there were some lazy bump! Anyway as we went to queue up, I went to buy the Passion CD+DVD(RM35) and the Tshirt(RM60). Ok to some people it's super expensive, but I don't really care 'cause I won't get to go to Passion so soon. I don't think that there'll be any promotion either. Well it doesn't mean that I'm a rich guy or whatever but just imagine, if you were in my place, there's no other Tshirt like that you will find and it's the last stock and that's the only price and this Tshirt is super duper nice, wouldn't you be like me and buy it??? Well I bought it and I'm happy about it! Sorry for all the losers who didn't buy! I will wear it proudly in college!!! MUAHAHAHA!!!

(taken from 268blog.com)

Queuing up for 2hrs is not fun to tell you the truth but it's worthwhile! There was a very large crowd queuing up and it was getting hot and we couldn't feel the air con anymore. I bought a Wendy's Burger early, so I ate it there while queuing up. Some people really envy my burger and I didn't really care. They thought that I would be disgusted by their envy for my burger. Well this doesn't work on me, sorry guys, when I have something to eat, I can eat it like nobody's business! :)

(taken from 268blog.com)

After 2hrs of queuing up, the doors finally opened!!! Guess what? If you don't move together as the crowd is moving in, I think you can die. Why am I saying that? Well as soon as the doors were opened, the crowd ran into the convention center! Everyone wanted to go and and get a seat in front of the stage in the middle! Everyone was running like crazy and I got push and bang by few kids! Hey wait! Kids???? How come there were kids in this event? I thought it was only for university students!!! I tell you, these kids pushed me and hit me like nobody's business, rushing to get a seat in the front. I tell you, if I was the father of this kid that pushed me, I would hit me and be punished for months!!! Haha!! Why am I talking like a father now???

I also ran like crazy anyway! I wanted to get a seat and I'm very super satisfied with my seat! Just imagine, I was sitting on the 5th row in front of the stage and I had a very super nice view man!!!! I got to reserve seats for my friends and then Michelle, Jacklyn, Li-Anne and Nally came to sit with me. So we started to take pictures and a lot of pictures!!!

Soon the lights were off and the band started to come on stage and this is their intro!

Intro of Passion

Chris Tomlin - taken by me!

The Band really brought the atmosphere and the presence of God into this place. Everyone was singing, although most of the songs were new to us but we just sang new song to Jesus! After that Louis came on stage and started to share the message of God. I tell you, I was so impacted that I've never ever heard this kind of message before. It was so positive, simple and powerful! He said that as university students we should make the name of Jesus famous in our campus, in our city. Then we sang the song God of this City. Louis, then continued this message after the song and he shared about the story of a girl named Ashley - a girl who like partying like crazy! She wrote in her diary of how she was before and how her life was messing up. This is how it started to change when she met a girl who became her housemate Christa she called her Fruitcake. In her diary, she shared how Fruitcake loved and cared for her and how she was different from other Christians that she has met before. Well in brief, after knowing her housemate Fruitcake for 7days, she became a Christian. Ashley was about to graduate from the university of Florida in January until she passed away. Yeah the story was quite sad, but the story behind it, is that Jesus became famous in her life and even her divorced parents saw the changes of her life. What I learned from this story, we ought to be like Fruitcake and make Jesus famous in our campus and in our city. This is what passion is all about.

P A S S I O N

Well guys and girls reading my blog, after this conference, my life has changed. I even cried during this conference because it was so impact. From now on, as I've said in the beginning, this Robin is not the same anymore as you have known him. He is not only crazy but crazier about Jesus!!! :)

Amazing Grace by CHCKL & Orchestra

Two weeks ago there was City Harvest Church KL (CHCKL) having its 7th anniversary. There was an orchestra during our praise and worship. So here is a video clip of one of the song that we sang that day!

By the way, I was in the choir singing as well, although you cannot see me inside! :P hehe

Before-During-After Quiz

I'm gonna be very sarcastic here. So you better be careful in what you're reading!

W A R N I N G ! ! !

I had a quiz recently given by my lecturer. (sorry I can't mention which lecturer and not even what class - I'm scared she reads my blog). Anyway for those who knows about it, please stay quiet.

My lecturer gave us a quiz and this happened before, during and after the quiz.

BEFORE QUIZ

Students: Ms, will the quiz be very difficult?

Lecturer: No don't worry. It's very easy only. It's all in your book!

DURING QUIZ

Student: Ms, I don't understand this question!

Lecturer: I can't help you, you should know it. It's all in your book!

AFTER QUIZ

(Lecturer correcting the quiz paper in front of the class and giving out the answer.)

Student: Ms, Ms!!! Isn't this suppose to be answer C?

Lecturer: No no!!! It's answer B because blah blah blah...

Student: But Ms, according to the question, it's this situation, so I think that the answer should be C.

Lecturer: Ok open your book and read the definition!

(All students open their book and read the definition and the student read aloud and still argues...)

Student: Ms, Ms!!! You see, according to the book, the definition states that the answer should be C!!!

(The lecturer's turn to read from the book, then turn to the student.)

Lecturer: Actually the answer is B, your book is not good. It's not well-detailed.

WTH???
-^-'''
What's wrong with the book???

Me and my music

What is my calling?
This is the question that has been resounding in my head for quite some time now.

Recently I've been involved in a lot of musical stuffs. It seems that there's a lot of doors opening for me to become a "star!" Well I've been singing and playing guitar for the past few weeks I must say.

1. Student Affairs Called me to sing and play guitar for a retreat for secondary school students. It was then cancelled but the thing is that I was appreciated by people who knew me and my talent in music.

2. During the Autistic center trip (i have to post about it soon), I was asked by my lecturer Ms Daisy to prepare some songs and to sing. So I've prepared 3 songs. It was a fun time there.

3. I've finally been leading song in my cell group. Today will be my 3rd time. YES!!!

4. Talentime competition - i sang solo for the singing competition and a lot of people congratulate me although the results are not out yet.

5. I was offered a free ticket to go to Daughtry Concert - but I couldn't go as I had something on that time :(

6. Recently I'm very and super inspired to compose songs. New songs are coming to me everyday.

Well I wonder if ever I have any future in the musical world. I'm feeling myself to be more creative and more inspired these days. The thing that really touched me is that people appreciate me and my talent for music. I'm really blessed actually. Maybe this is the start of something new! :)

Back to normal

Ok I've deleted my previous post about "I'M NOT A FULL TIME BLOGGER!" Sorry I was a bit emotional about it for people nagging me. Well anyway let's not talk about it. I would like to apologize for all the bloggers around the world who were reading my blog during these few days. Sorry if I offended you with this picture of this FAT MAN! Actually I put it as a joke. I know it was quite disturbing also and I felt it too. So I removed it! hehe... Happy blogging!!!

a very brief update

Hi guys! Thanks for visiting and reading my blog everyday. I know some of you have been very faithful to read my blog and I'm really honored to see people inspired by my blog. Well thanks God for that! Recently I've been very busy and very tired so that the main reason for not blogging these few days... Anyway just a summary what I've been doing lately.

I went to an Autistic Centre. A very interesting place with a lot of autistic children there. I had so much fun with them. I went there as a psychology class outing, so basically with my fellow classmates. I will post up picture later on on my next post.

The next thing that I've been very busy with is my church 7th anniversary celebration. Well I will post up more details about it later on also. Tomorrow is the last day and I'm still going for the choir. Today service was really GREAT! I enjoyed the orchestra! :)

Well that's all for now!

Stay tuned for more updates soon!!! :)

A fresh cold shower

This morning, I woke up quite early because guess what? I had a test this morning at 8AM! Can you imagie that? Well that's where hard working people like me taking an 8-o'clock class and not taking the 11-o'clock class! Too bad I wanted it that way. (ouhhh... sounds like the Backstreet Boys song). hehe...

As usual, for a night-owl like me to wait up at 7AM, it's very hard for me, especially if you have taken your dinner at midnight in a mamak store and slept at around 2AM. Well at that time I tried to be hard working by staying up late studying but as you know Robin very well, he slept with his book still open and don't know what happened and woke up his alarm ringing this morning! (I know Linet will laugh abt it again!)

After struggling so much with the alarm, I decided to wake up and take a hot shower!!! I started to open the tap and enjoyed the hot and warm water!!! Hmm... so good!!! But suddenly while I was applying some soap on me, the water turned into COLD and freezing COLD!!! This morning it was already cold, WHY SHOULD I BATH IN A COLD SHOWER??? I had no choice but to take the risk, else how would I get out of the shower with soap all over my body?

I got out of the bathroom freezing, so I immediately wore a jacket and guess what? I haven't taken it out yet until now!!! Yeah I'm now in the computer lab typing this blog to you, with my jacket on and freezing in this air conditioned room!!! Not forgetting to mention that there's a heavy rain outside!

Why is it a freezing day today??? Even in Mauritius it's not that freezing as here. I mean it is but at least we have fresh freezing air, not some stupid aircon with a stupid rain outside and with this stupid water heater suddenly broken just for me to feel cold today!!! I know that I miss the winter in Mauritius! But why today???

Ok Robin is not trying to be funny here but this is just exactly what happened to him this morning! So please give your comments! At least you can feel pity, just for once in your life! haha!!!

Fart like never before!

I found out this on internet. This is very funny how this guy farts just to light up a candle. I wonder if he does that on a romantic dinner with his girlfriend! :P hehe... Well this is the best funny video that I've ever watched! I laughed and laughed again and again!!! :D Enjoy it! :)

Why don't you try it out now? :D

What do you blog for???

Yeah the question is "What do you blog for?" Recently I've noticed on Innit, that most people will go and see your post if there's something related to Sex!!! Well does this Cyber World circle around sexuality only? Once you see 18SX, nude picture, sexy pictures, etc... That's where a lot of people will click on it and that's where they will get a lot of traffic on their blog so that they can earn money from Nuffnang. Well of course those people blog to get money no matter what, but does your post really reflects you? That was the question that I asked Cherish today during lunch time in college.

Recently I've seen her posts were about sexy pictures of ladies. At first I thought that she was suffering from a low self esteem. But she told me, "No it's so that I can get a lot of people on Innit to visit my blog, 'cause most of them when see sexy pictures, then they will click." Well Nuffnagers, are you such a pervert? I've also noticed that I've got a lot of people visiting my blog recently when I posted on my Sexuality Test. According to the statistics, I've received 272 people reading my post in one day!!! It was my record of all my posts. Of course I was really happy to see a lot of people visiting my blog during that week. But just recently I've realized that if I continue to write my blog like that, it's not reflecting me anymore. That was not the main purpose for me to write blog. My main purpose to write in this blog, is to keep in touch with my friends because I can't email everyone one by one, especially those in my hometown. So I simply ask them to read my blog on all what is happening in my life.

My blog is about my life and this life is where I'm sharing to all of you. All these happening things in my life, it's where I learned from mistakes or learned new things to develop myself to be a better me. I'm blogging to share experiences and to inspire people. Of course if I saw something interesting or funny, I will post it out, so that my friends and other people might read and laugh about it too. I just want to make them feel what I feel!

Blogging ain't about copying and pasting from an article and claim as if it's yours. Although that you put the source out there, it still doesn't mean that you have to copy exactly and make it yours. At least you can read it and use your creativity to rewrite in your own words and comment about it. Nowadays in the field of employment, people seek for creativity. So since you are still young at there, maybe in heart also, USE YOUR CREATIVITY lah!!! You can make this cyber life a life a routine. People seek for art, passion, life and most of all creativity. At first I always told myself that I have no creativity but I have no skill in drawing. But creativity doesn't come from drawing only. It's something that inspires you to create something. That's creativity is all about! :)

Well I hope from this post, a new born spirit that stirs you up to be inspired to create something and write something creative. Let's blog with passion in our hearts!!! :)

A Sight For Sore Eyes

I have this T-shirt that most of you know. Every time I wear it, people will cover the eyes and say, "Aghh!!! Your T-shirt is freaky!!! Make my eyes blur!" Some will ask, "Is it your T-shirt or really I have vision problem." Well as you may know now, it's my favorite T-shirt:

"A SIGHT FOR SORE EYES!!!"

(You're supposed to see that blur)

Yeah this is how it is when you see it!
[
Come closer and you'll see what I mean]

Anyway I've happily bought it last year in JB (all JB ppl cheer!!! Wohoo!!!). I got it for a cheap price and I really like it. At first I thought that it won't make any effect on people 'cause when I bought it, I had a clear vision. Hmm... my eyes are very good. hehe... I even went back to Mauritius and wore this T-shirt on the day I made a surprise to my friends. They were thinking, "Is that really Robin?" Then I will answer them, "No it's just an illusion. You're having a sight for sore eyes. See, you can't even read my T-shirt!"

Well I used to have a lot of fun wearing this T-shirt and making people blurish!!! Now I seldom wear it 'cause I need to go on diet to be able to wear it again. It doesn't really fit me nowadays. Maybe when it's washed it becomes smaller. Does it happen to your T-shirt sometimes?

After punishing all my friends with this T-shirt, little did I know that I will also get this back!!! Like some people say, "It's KARMA!!!" Well see the results of this KARMA, to my eye!!!

My swollen eye!!!

Yeah this morning I woke up with this!!! That's why I had to skip my class this morning as it was very painful. Now it's more or less ok!

Please do not laugh! It's not funny, k? (stealing lil Darell's quote)
