I bit my char kuey teow tongue!!!

Yesterday Edi called me and asked if I wanted to go to pasar malam. It was around 6PM and usually if I want to go to pasar malam, I won't go that early because not all the stalls are opened. But since it was not raining and that I haven't been to pasar malam since last year, I told myself, "Yeah why not?" So I went to meet Edi nearby there and we walked and it was quite empty as merchants were opening their stalls.

Usually if I go to pasar malam, I will eat one and only thing for sure. It's the Char Kuey Teow of the pasar malam. For me to buy it and to eat it, I have to walk until the end of the pasar malam to be able to get it and I can tell you, it's quite far. Taman Connaught is well-renowed for the longest pasar malam in KL. It's around 2-3KM. So Edi and I walked and walked until we found some snacks to eat. We walked while eating the snacks till we reached the famous char kuey teow and I could smell it from few distance away as I came near. The fragance of it would perfume every place around it. When I reached the place, I started to order and it's only RM3.80!!!

Yummy it is, right? Well yes it is indeed!!! I asked for a take away to bring it back home to eat it up! I was so excited to hold the hot and tasty and famous char kuey teow of pasar malam. I couldn't wait to go home and eat it up!

As soon as we reached home, finally the time has come to unwrap it and start to devour the char kuet teow! After unwrapping it, mixed it with the chilli and it's ready to be eaten alive! hahaha!!! I started to devour it, like a lion who will devour its prey. I ate and ate and guess what? It was so deliciously appetizing that I actually bit my tongue!!!! OUCH!!! Now it's very painful!!!

Well that's the case of not eating a Char Kuey Teow for very long! So if you have any cravings, just go for it, don't just wait for very long like me to eat it. Else you'll end up bitting your tongue too!!! hehehe...

Mamma Mia & Carl's Jr

This week, Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd were two days I had for public holiday here in Malaysia. It's called Hari Raya! It's the Muslims Festival, some sort of new year after their one month of fasting. Well I admire those muslims who really fast for one whole month. :)

As the title says it all, Mamma Mia is the movie that I've watched recently. Not only that, I've watched it 2 times in the space of one week. Wow!!! Although that I've watched it twice, I laughed again and enjoyed the movie though. Usually when I watch a movie, I won't go and watch again, but this one, it's a MUST-WATCH-MOVIE!!!

Monday is the first day of the week and I went to watch with Hazel with the company of Crystal and Andrew. I went to meet Hazel and her gang in Midvalley at around 8PM. I had my dinner with the gang and soon Crystal and Andrew came along. After fulfilling my stomach's need, we rushed for the movie. All the trailers had already started and we had to walk in the dark to find our seats. Seats found! So we watched and laughed like crazy at this movie. After the movie ended, I was so blessed to have Andrew to drive me home and for Hazel to bless me with the movie ticket. I was really blessed.

Wednesday is another day where it was public holiday and Ray called me to get ready to go to Midvalley. At first I thought that he just wanted to buy something there but he wanted to watch movie with Edi. On the other hand, Edi told me that he was going "dating" so he cannot go out with me, but I ended up with him anyway. Well I didn't want to disturb him in his "date", so Ray and I bought another ticket to watch Mamma Mia, since other movie is too late to watch. Then we went in another movie hall whereas Edi and *ahem* went to another movie hall. Since Ray and I haven't taken our breakfast nor our lunch, at 2PM we decided to go and eat the most delicious and the best huge burger that we can ever see in town! Well you have guess it right! It's Carl's Jr Burger!!!

This is the only burger and French fries that you will not be deceived by the size they put in the newspapers or magazines or ads. I think the burger is even bigger than the ads itself. That's why it says in the ads, "When you go to Carl's Jr, you get yourself embarrassed by asking a small burger because that doesn't exist in Carl's Jr!" Well what they say it's true. Even you try to order the smallest burger there, it's bigger than one BigMac in McD!!!

Back to the movie!!! I like the songs inside the movie, although they are old but it brings back your childhood somehow. I pretty amazed by how they can relate all these songs into this one movie! Since I've studied Film & Arts Appreciation, my perspective of watching a movie is totally different now. I like how they made this plot into life. Another thing that I like is about the actors and actress, they can ask really good. I think that I'd prefer Mammia Mia compared to High School Musical. Although HSM has original songs, but the acting in Mammia Mia is the best, somehow you can relate. Whereas in HSM, it's just fake, nothing you can relate to your actual life. It's kind of fairy tale musical. Sorry for all HSM fans if I offended you, especially those back in Mauritius.

To end this post, I just want to share with you, real commercials of Carl's Jr burgers. Enjoy!!! :)

First thought on a Sunday morning

This is just insane for someone like me. First thing on a Sunday morning, what would be your first thought?

- What time is it?
- Am I late for something?
- Never mind, just sleep again...
- ???

Well I don't know for you but this is what happened to me on a delightful Sunday morning. I have thought of food!!! Can you believe it??? My first thought was food but not any type of food!!! I was craving for PORK!!!

P-O-R-K = PORK!!!

To tell you the truth, I haven't eaten pork for a very long time. I think it's more than one month or two. Well I think that I've eaten pork chop but personally it's not a real pork! What do I mean by that? Pork chop is being hammered by the cook and just fry it or just the pork chop that they buy the one that is factory made and just fry it! No no no!!! I hate that!!! Especially the factory made! It's called a fake pork chop! Anyway I don't really like to eat pork chop! Why? Because the real pork itself, the meat is tender and when you put it in your mouth, you can feel the fat, the meat and it's so.... Hmmm... Delicioussss!!! :D Do you get what I mean? Well only Pork lovers will understand what I'm talking about here!

I've read somewhere "No Pork, No Life!" Well somehow I've realized that it's kind of true. At first I was thinking, "huh! The person who wrote that has no life, just desperate for pork!" But now!!! Hehe... Actually I get what the person means by writing this. Pork really brings a kind of meaning in a life of a Chinese. Chinese are fond of Pork and they will eat it with everything. Pork brings taste in the life of Chinese community. That's the way to say it. I think that Chinese is the first race on earth to ever eat pork, because you can see all sorts of dishes with pork made by Chinese. Don't you think so?

I think that last time that I've eaten a real pork dish was back in Mauritius. It's called Moy Choy Niouk. In my family, I'm the only one who is the most fond of it and my mum knows it very well. (Mum, I hope you're reading this!!!) I tried to find on internet and in Mandarin it's called "Mui Choy Kau Yoke." It's one of the famous Hakka food in Mauritius. If you have no idea how does it look like, here it is:

Delcious!!!

A closer look at the delicious and juicy pork!!! Yummy!!!

It's very nice to see and sense it but unfortunately there's no smell that comes out from the pictures and I can't take it to put it in my mouth and to chew the tender and juicy meat and feel it!!! :'( It really make me feel like missing home now.

Anyway the thing about Malaysia is that there's not a lot of pork around in my area. If I buy pork in Giant, I must go to the Non Halal section. Well in Mauritius, we don't have such thing and in this Non-Halal Section, there's not so much choices of pork. But the thing about Malaysia is there's a type of food which is very famous for its pork! People say that it's originated from Klang! Yeah for some of you who have guessed it already, it's not other than the...

BAK KUT TEH!!!

Well it's not that bad to live in Malaysia after all. But I just to find the right people and the right place to eat all those delicious herbal pork soup! So what are you waiting for? Can you get it? I'm waiting for you to bring me and buy me a Bak Kut Teh??? You think that I just post this just to make you feel good about it? I'm not promoting or whatever, I want to eat PORK!!!

P-O-R-K = PORK!!!
