A day of a new beginning!

Yesterday I went to church like any other weekends. This time it was not a usual weekend. My life started to transform and it's a day of a new beginning. I've never experienced such thing before. It was so powerful and indescribable literally. Sunday is not a usual day for me to go to church. I usually go on Saturdays but this Sunday I went because I really couldn't make it and I missed my cell members at that time. But I think God has a reason for me to go on a Sunday.

Throughout the beginning of the service, I keep thinking of my hometown, my church and my youth ministry there, which I don't know why at this particular time only I think of such things. When I was in the van on the way to church, I didn't have a single thought about it. It all started the service started.

Pastor Kevin was preaching on Unleashing Your Potential. It was indeed a very good peaching. While I was listening to it, it seems that every word that is being said, it is directly related to me. I felt like God was talking to me directly! Even during the preaching, I don't know why I'm having this thought about my church back home and about the youths there. Every time when Pastor was stating out his point, a new revelation started to come to me! Suddenly the dream that I had before I come to Malaysia started to rise up! This is dream is, deep inside of me, I just want to go back to Mauritius after my studies and bless my land. God revealed me that I should do Psychology in Malaysia. I didn't know why but I just obeyed as I know God has a plan for me.

Back to the preaching. The greatest tragedy in life is not failure but failing to see the potential on the inside of us - that one dare not even try! This is how the preaching started and while listening this reveal me something. In the past I used to be a failure, a failure in my studies. I was really weak in my studies in my secondary school. I would fail and repeat the class again. The greatest failure for me was my A Levels. A lot of people don't know about it, but now you know it. I was really depressed of this failure. I had a choice, either to repeat or find a work, but to find a work it's very difficult if I don't have a minimum of A Levels. My parents were putting the pressure of me. So I went to think, and I felt like fasting and praying for 1 week. After 1 week of fasting, God started to reveal to me that I should go to Malaysia. Then here I am in Malaysia, God has given me another chance to prove myself worth. I was trying to go through shortcuts of doing a degree directly but it was impossible for me, no matter how I try to get out of it. God wanted to build my character, especially in my studies. So I did the foundation in UCSI and I don't regret it.

Since I started my degree after my foundation, I joined choir ministry and I started to get lots of responsibilities in cell group. I'm kind of being promoted in my cell group. From arranging the transportation for my cell members, I do more than this now. I prepare the bulletin for our cell group every week and I do games and warmth time. For me it's a very challenging thing for me because I've never done the cell group bulletin before. It was Edi who was doing it and the job was passed to me. I had to use my creativity and originality to make this bulletin better than Edi's. So I started to do something new. Now each of the bulletin that I design is different from week to week and it's getting better and better.

So Pastor was also sharing that our Potential is realized within God's appointed leaders. Hendra is my cell leader and Kristy is my subzone leader. I learned a lot of things from them. They taught me and I obeyed them. If I want to prosper and have the anointing of God to keep increasing in my life, I have to position myself in the presence of God's anointed leaders and serve the man and woman of God with a pure heart! Until now I don't regret that I joined City Harvest Church and I have great leaders above me to serve them.

When the service is almost ending, God started to awake this dream that I have deep inside of me again. I started to feel different. Pastor then made an altar call to all those people who wanted to position themselves to unleash their potential. I wanted God to use my potential, all that I can do, I just wanted to do more than what I'm doing now. At the same time this big dream of my heart is bursting up! So I went forward for the altar call. Ok what I'm going to tell you is very freaky! So prepare your heart and get ready. Once I stepped forward I was paralyzed but at the same time I was trembling!!! Don't ask me how, I don't know how to explain that to you! I felt the Holy Spirit touch me from head to toe. It's like a mixture of hot and cold plus being electrocuted. Maybe that explained why I was paralyzed!!! Then pastor was praying for everyone when suddenly he stopped at me and gave me a word of prophesy. He said that since the beginning of the service that he felt that God is gonna use my potential and just to let Him to take control. From that time I couldn't hold myself and started to cry.

From that time the dream that I had came to me so true when Pastor prophesied on me. If since the beginning of the service he felt that, it means that God gonna use me back in Mauritius. But now it's only the beginning. Now I have new strength and I feel my potential unleashed and it's time to get ready to face new challenges ahead of me! This is just the beginning of the revival in me! :)

Sexuality Test

Yesterday I was very frustrated with this Psychology test paper!!! It was on the topic Sex and Gender. I've studied that chapter without fault. I tried to understand more on the sociocultural and psychological meaning of sex more than the biological term. And guess what came out in the SEX PAPER??? BIOLOGICAL TERMS!!!! ARGHHH!!!

Usually the lecturer will give her paper not so difficult and in a way that we must use critical thinking to answer the questions in the test paper. I was so confident that the paper would be easy. Little did I know that this will be the hardest test ever. =(

It's unfair also. In this paper there was one question for male and one question for female. You would say that there's no biasness, well let me tell you that there is! In my psychology class, most of them are girls and I even have a female lecturer. There's only 3 guys in this class, yeah I say it again, 3 GUYS ONLY!!!! My point is about the biasness in this paper. The female question was about mensuration, they have to describe the process of it, how regular do they have it. Whereas for the male question was how to explain during the sex intercourse, how the sperm met up the female egg and what happens next. MUST EXPLAIN IN DETAILS!!!! IT'S SO UNFAIR!!! WHY GUYS HAVE TO EXPLAIN SUCH THING WHERE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN IN US??? It's so easy for girls to answer their question!!! I can visualize the sex intercourse and I can explain that as a result will get a baby but if you ask me to explain in every biological details of what happening when this process happens, HOW WILL I KNOW THAT???? I didn't even study that in my book, there's no such thing as well. My subject is Introduction to Psychology 2, not Human Sexuality!!!

The lecturer always encourages us to develop a critical thinking in this course. Well how do you want me to develop a critical thinking when it comes to the explanation of SEX in a BIOLOGICAL TERM???? I think this test is so unfair!!! I have to talk and complain about this biasness to my lecturer!!! THIS IS SO UNFAIR!!!!

EMERGE FEVER IS HERE!!!

YAY!!! This is my 2nd post for the day!

Well as you have noticed recently I've been very busy. Today I feel relieved that finally I'm ALMOST over. Yeah tomorrow I still have one more test and then I have to discuss about my group assignment about Writing a Review for a Play and I still need to prepare for my cell group which is tomorrow as well.

Today miraculously I could finally woke up early for my Study Skills class. Well actually I had test this morning at 8AM. Do you think that it's because I have test and that's what makes me motivated to wake up early? Yeah maybe that's the case. Anyway, by the time I'm blogging, I'm getting ready my voice. "FOR WHAT?," as you may say. Well tonight there's an audition for the Emerge Talentime Competition and I'm going to sing. I'm still figuring out what song to sing. So many choices!!! Maybe I'll sing "Angels brought me here" by Guy Sebastian where I'm more confident in this song.

Emerge KL 08. For more info, click on my sidebar

If you don't know what is EMERGE is all about, well just to tell you briefly what is it. EMERGE is a youth conference where it's organized by City Harvest Church where it gathers more than 2000 youths in KL. It's not an ordinary conference. There are also competition along with it. Last year we had a lot of competition such as Parade of School(POS), Sports Mania (all sort of sports), Creative Arts and Entertainment (such as Fashion Show, Talentime, Manhunt & Beauty Pageant, Transformers Competition and Acrylic Painting), Design & Media (such as Photography Competition, Multimedia - Trailer, and Shoe Design), Education and Christian Growth (Spelling Bee, Word Power, How smart are you? - IQ test, Preaching Challenge, and Personal Testimony) and lastly there's Games Arena (all the online games such as DOTA and CS, Lightning Chess and Nitendo Wii!!!).

To participate to these competition, you must know your team first. We are categorized into 4 teams!!! We have the SMU Cluster (Sunway-Monash Uni), MINT Cluster (Metropolitan, Inti, Nilai, Taylors), LU (Local U) and VU (Various Universities). Who do you think gonna win this time? Last year I was in VU and VU won!!! Wohoo!!!

Now I'm in LU(Local U)!!! Woohoo!!! This time we gonna win. Maybe in Manhunt again! Muahaha!!! Oh yeah I know that you have no idea what is the POS all about. Well it's just simply Cheerleading. For eg as the videos below.

We also had Strikeforce Singapore to come last year. It's a kind of STOMP!

During EMERGE, we don't have only competition. We have special guests from overseas and speakers as well. Special appearances was Jay Chou's best friend - Lui Geng Hong!!! Yeah he came together with his apprentice Wing! There was also Rebecca Tan, a very good violinist!

[Lui Geng Hong]

[Wing]

[Rebecca Tan]

Well this is not a conference like any other, it's life changing and by being involved in those competition, we develop and show our talent. You don't have to be a Christian to come to this conference. Just come and enjoy the show only! :) I will update more info when is the conference be held and when will it be! :)

Daughtry Here We Come!!!

Yesterday I met Jonathan in Terry's Office and we were talking about the accusation made to me recently. Click here if you don't know what I'm talking about. So as usual I just go there to online for a while then suddenly he mentioned that Daughtry is coming over to Malaysia on the 26th July!!! Wohooo!!! I'm so excited to go for his concert man! I love his voice. It makes me wanna sing better. This kind of people always make me strive for the best I am. I wanna sing like him, or even better than him. Well each and everyone has their own style of singing, and I have to find mine.

Anyway, soon at night, I was chatting with Joanne and I know that she likes daughtry songs as I saw on her facebook profile as you can see below.

Joanne's Facebook

I wanted to make sure that she likes Daughtry or not, so I asked. "Hey do you like Daughtry?" She immediately replied, "YESS!!!" Guess what? She even has his whole album!!! Wow!!! Actually I like Daughtry because of the song that I've listened on youtube. It's called, "What about now?" I like the song very much and I watched it during the American Idol, Idol Gives Back. He was not there actually but Brad Pitt was there and he promoted about him in Uganda. That time I was searching for all the American Idol performance and I like the Shout to the Lord very much by the Idol 8. Then I saw Brad Pitt which is very unusual to see an actor on this kind of show. So I went to watch. I tell you from that time, I didn't regret of watching it. It was not about him, but about Daughtry and what he was doing in Uganda. There came this song, "What about now, What about today?" From that day onwards, this song was resounding in my head.

Here is the video that I found on youtube.

Back to the conversation with Joanne. After that I told her, "Hey did you know that Daughtry is coming over to Malaysia for concert?" "REALLYY???", she replied astonishingly. I think that she didn't believe me, so she went online to find on Google. So she type, "Daughtry in Malaysia".

Daughtry in Malaysia

Then she found out the article which is found in the STAR Newspaper that Daughtry set to rock KL and she confirms that it's not a fake article. Yes he will be coming to KL for a concert on the 26th July. As Joanne says, exactly one month to go! So we both are super fan of Daughtry and we are already planning our schedule to go for the concert! Usually she will go back to her hometown during the weekend but for that weekend, haha, DAUGHTRY HERE WE COME!!!! :D

DAUGHTRY!!! HERE WE COME!!!
YOU ROCK MAN!!!!

Another blessed day!

Today is just another blessed day! I'm starting to count my blessing now! hehe... Wow I feel so blessed today. This morning I went to the last session of "Does Fairy Tale Love Exist?". As always I learned something new and it helps me in my future relationship with my partner. I'm happy today also because I brought in 2 new friends to church, Jane and Jason. Then Matthew & Pat brought another Matthew also. Wow! I always like to meet new friends and it's such a great joy for me to see them come to church and at the end they just tell me that they were very blessed.

Just now, the while I'm typing, my new housemates, PamPam and Fitri blessed me with 2 bottles of water. You may sound like "Cheh", but since I moved in to this new house, I have to go and buy water all the time. There's no filter water here. I stayed in this new house for 2 days now and I tell you that I'm really blessed that they bought these bottles of water for me.

Well that's all that I want to say for today. I finally packed up all my things and now waiting for friend to help me up to bring it to my new house! :)

False Accusation on my nationality!

Yesterday I was accused to be a Malaysian who pretend to be a Mauritian!!! Can you believe that??? It's is so lame! Recently there's this election thing happening in my college, UCSI. There were 2 teams competing and when the unofficial results came out, of course 1 is the winner and the other one the loser. But the losing team made an appeal saying that the election was unfair and made an accusation against the judiciary of the student council.

So being the former president of the international student of student council, I was called to be formed a panel and investigate what went wrong in this election. I had to find out what was fair and what was unfair. So together with Elvin, former President of Student Council, and Mr Raj, the HOD of Engineering department, we were formed to be part of this panel. Therefore we had to interview each individual from team A and judiciary to team B. The interview was in 2 sessions. Morning session for Team A and judiciary and the afternoon session for Team B. As expected, for the morning session it was a cool interview, but in the afternoon it was quite tensed!!!

Bring part of this panel, I acted totally as a neutral person. Although most of the people involved in the election were my friends. At that particular time, I didn't consider them as my friend. If I was appointed for a responsibility, I stand upon this responsibility without any prejudice. While I was interviewing my friends, they were quite scared because of the tone I used to ask them questions. Anyway the same interview was done to team B and this was the time that I got offended. I was accused to be a Malaysian who pretend to be a Mauritian!!! What the heck is that? Where did that fellow get that from??? If Mr Raj didn't stop me, I would have smacked him already! Thanks God for Mr Raj to stop me!

Well our part has been done now. No prejudice was in. I treated as everyone equal and my view should be neural. After discussing among ourselves, we already made our point who should be the winner of this Student Council Election 2008. So now let the verdict be done! Hopefully the results will be announced by Monday itself!

Girls' influence

I'm quite busy these few days. My mind is full of task, assignments, tests, social work, ministry and lots more!!! After Singapore, I haven't really blog. My life was a mess (you can determine by looking how my room looks like). Yes I haven't blog since I came back from Singapore until something happens!!! Girls' influence... this is what I'm gonna talk about today... :)

Recently I've just registered to Facebook. At first I didn't want to register to it at all because I told people that I already have friendster, so why should I have facebook? Anyway I still think that facebook is a waste of time. For me to register to friendster and facebook, it's for me to keep in touch with my friends and to remember their names and faces especially. As you have guessed it already, it's because of a girl's influence that I've decided that I should register to facebook.

My room is finally cleaned!!! It looks like a new room. Well I have to move out as well and the agent wants to come and bring people to check the rooms. I don't really like people to come in my room especially when it's messy. When my room is messy, I'm like being exposed to the whole world. But again, girl's influence comes in and I cleaned my room and it has never been ever clean. I can't even recognized my room also, I've changed some settings as well.

Lastly, if you're reading this post right now, here comes again the girl's influence that leads me to update my blog so that my blog can be as happening as hers. Yeah finally blog being updated for this month. Finally blogging!!! I know this month I haven't blog a lot but I'll try to keep it constant.

btw moving house in 2 days...

A blessed week!

This week was indeed a blessed week. Actually it all started from Monday onwards that I can see the blessing of God pouring out on me. Last Saturday, Felix Hew was sharing the Offering Challenge and indeed I felt challenged. He shared that there was this guy who wanted to make a difference in changing lives of people but he said that he had no talent. So his lecturer told him what he can do best. He said that he can do press ups! He then asked the fellow young man, "How many press ups can you do?" He replied, "30 sir!" The lecturer then asked him to do 100 press ups. He said that he never tried but he will do it. At first it was hard to go one shot of 100 press ups but with time you don't feel the pain anymore. Well it's same like giving an offering. The more you give the same amount, you won't feel the pain of giving again but instead you would want to experience more and give more. After hearing this story, I decided to give a sacrificial amount that I've never given before. The following week, I was really blessed, not in terms of money but in terms of relationships with friends. Here as follows:

Monday - went to Chilli's for the first time (although expensive but i enjoyed myself)
Tuesday - Pst Robb Thompson Conference - Indeed I need to listen to his sermon again, he's WOW!!
Wednesday - Went to Dinner at Monte Restaurant in Bangsar with Pst Robb Thompson - although expensive, it's not a money matter but it's about being different to strive for more of excellency.
Thursday - Made some new friends
Friday - I went to watch a play with friends and I enjoyed it.
Saturday - I finally went on stage for Choir!!! Wohoo!!! I then blessed my cell members with dinner.
Sunday - I was blessed to have Caleb and Silvia for lunch.

Well to conclude, it's not about having a lot of money or to be rich or not, but it's all about the heart of giving that determine the person you are. To tell you the truth, I'm not rich but my God is rich! (that's what I told Ivy last time). I thank God because He improved my relationship with my friends and I'm really blessed to serve Him in choir ministry. Yeah Choir Ministry is just a fun ministry. I enjoyed myself and every week I learn a lot of things from them. :)

Singapore Shopping Marathon!!!

start 10:51pm

Have you ever heard of a Shopping Marathon before? Well I participated to this Singapore Shopping Marathon and indeed it was a successful and fruitful race. I went to the Singapore Mega Sales!!! They call it Great Sales Singapore (GSS) in Singapore.

First let me introduce you the runners of the marathon.

Ivy in black for the Ivy Team!

Robin in blue for the Robin Team!

At first RongRong wanted to join us but in the end she couldn't come. Anyway let's start the story of this Singapore Shopping Marathon. On Thursday night around 6pm, we took the UCSI shuttle bus to go to Tasik Selatan to take the LRT to Plaza Rayat to go to PuduRaya to buy the bus ticket to Singapore. So on our arrival to Pudu Raya, we spend around 30mins there to find which bus would be available for us the next day. We were trying to find the earliest bus. We were proposed at 9AM and 10AM, but in the end we could finally find the earliest, which is 7AM. After getting the ticket, we went back to Cheras and have Bak Kut Teh in Connaught, the one near KFC. Well according to my friend Mr Kelvin, he said that the Bak Kut Teh is nice but when Ivy and I ate there, it's not so bad and not so good. For me out of 10 I would rate 5, because I've eaten better than that. They claim to be the 100% Klang Bak Kut Teh but I think the KL Bak Kut Teh is nicer than Klang. Anyway someone has to bring me to the best Bak Kut Teh ever! muahaha!!!

Back to the story, after the BKT, I went home, took my shower and took my stuffs such as passport, clothes, toothbrush, etc with me to go stay at Ivy's place so that the next day we could go together. Thanks for Hendra and Jason who came and fetch us to Ivy's house. After that I slept at around 12AM and woke up at 5AM to get ready for our Singapore trip. We left home at 6AM and went to Pudu Raya bus station by cab. Fortunately there were not traffic jam in such an hour and we reached there quite early. Soon we got in the bus and enjoyed our journey to Singapore. The bus left at 7:30pm to Singapore, it was a NON STOP bus of 5hours! Actually we stopped once only, which is good, at least we got chance to pee in a proper place instead of peeing in the bus! :P hehe...

As we reached the Singapore Custom, we met Joshua there. We were supposed to meet him at the Bugis MRT actually but since we met at the custom, so we started our journey together. Oh yeah, there was Josh's cousin also, a pretty looking girl. :) Then we took another bus from the custom to Singapore Keranji station. From there we reached at around 1pm and we spotted a bakery shop which was very attracting to us. Ivy and I were very hungry at that time. So this is the first thing that we bought in Singapore! :) hehe... Hungry people don't care if it's expensive or not, we just need to fulfill our tummy's need. :P hehe... So we were eating at the MRT station there and as we were eating, we got scolded by an old man. We were quite upset at that time but thanks to his scolding because as we entered the MRT, we saw a logo like this:

S$500 FINE for EATING AND DRINKING!!!

Just imagine, if we have eaten in the MRT and station, we would be charged s$500 each!!! This would mean that we have to go back to KL afterwards! :( Our purpose was to shop only and we would just come and got arrested for eating in the MRT and being fined this amount. Well I don't think that it would be enough for us to pay them 'cause the money we brought for shopping was not enough to pay the fine each! Maybe the Singaporean would shot us dead! :( That's terrible!!! Ok ok!!! I stop dreaming so much!!!

Bugis Street for our First Shopping Marathon

So we took the MRT from Keranji station to Bugis MRT Station. It took us exactly 42mins. The MRT is very fast and comes on time as always. On our arrival there, we changed our money at Bugis Junction Money Changer and the Singapore Shopping Marathon had finally started. First target to spot was the Bugis Street. We officially started at around 2pm, it's pretty late i must say. So as we arrived there, we didn't know where to start and we just follow the flow. But it was quite uncomfortable, so we all made separate way and meet back at 5:30PM. We shopped and shopped like crazy and at a very fast pace. I don't know for Ivy and the rest but for me, it was really a shopping marathon. I just go to one shop, see if nice, then try and if nice and good price then I buy. I must praise God for that because in every shop I went, I got a very great discount from everyone. It's not because of the MegaSales but when I asked lower the price, they really lower it for me and I'm blessed. I spent around 1 and half hour in Bugis Street because nothing much interesting as in shirts. They all look the same in every shop. So I left the place to go to Bugis Junction and made the most craziest shopping marathon ever. As the Singaporeans walk very fast, I walked faster than them!!! Isn't that crazy? From shop to shop, I went around and find the best clothes and best price. I could hardly spend 5-10mins in one shop. So just imagine how many shops I've been.

Half way of the Shopping Marathon

5:30pm has arrived and I had to meet Ivy and the rest. I was in the fitting room in Bugis Junction at that time. I had to try faster and buy faster and meet them faster! Ivy already started to sms me, which cost RM1 per sms! I didn't want her to spend her sms, so I rushed as fast as I could. As I reached the meet up point, she said, "okay let's go to Bugis Junction now!" Haiz!!! I just came back from there!!! So we went there for 10-15mins, then decided to go to Orchard Road for the largest shopping place in Singapore. Back to the MRT, rushing here and there again. The escalator in the MRT Station goes very fast, so we had to move very fast as well. We reached Orchard Road and there were nothing special for us to buy there. It was quite expensive compared to Bugis. So after spending around 20-25mins around, we went back to Bugis to continue our Shopping Marathon. We could take a break of 10mins in Orchard Road there then continue again. FYI, we didn't have break at all during the shopping marathon. It's a Marathon, if you stop, you loose! We would have wasted time if we took a lot of break interval and in the end we wouldn't buy our stuffs.

Exhausted after the Shopping Marathon

BUT

Satisfied of the Shopping Marathon!!! :D

We went back to Bugis Street and continue the shopping until 8:30pm and then we had to leave Singapore already else we can't go back to Malaysia and stay overnight at the bus station. Another marathon was waiting for us. We had to rush back to Keranji Bus Station to take the bus back to JB. We didn't get the usual bus but we took another bus to go there. As we took the bus to the other side, we had to pass through the custom again. There, we had to put our thumb there for the identification. Joshua got this crazy idea that we put our thumb into our nose and put it there. Hahaha!!! It was so funny and as crazy as Ivy is, she was about to do it. But in the end she didn't do and me either. It was great fun in the end. We all had a good laugh at it.

Seriously Exhausted Ivy!!!

Shocked Ivy of not getting our usual bus back to JB

As we reached JB, the escalator is very slow and we were complaining 'cause not only it was slow but dirty. The big difference between Singapore and Malaysia, it's a world of different. It's like you come from a rich life and suddenly you got poor and that's what you get in return. Malaysia started to be a slow country for us. Everything was slow. Well I can't compare to Mauritius, it's even slower than that! So Mauritius, you have a lot to catch up to be like Singaporeans!!! C'mon my people!!! :D

Happy People after Singapore trip

On our way back to Joshua's aunty's place, we were all exhausted. As we reached home, we took shower, brush teeth and then sleep until the next day. I was so tired and I think that I was in the same position that I've slept that night. As Joshua said, I was snoring like a pig. Well when I'm terribly tired, I'm like that. I can snore like nobody's business. I slept until 8AM until Ivy woke me up to call the bus station of JB to get an earlier bus so that we could reach KL earlier so that we could go to church. Well it was impossible for 3 people to get an early bus, so we just carry on with the 11:45am bus. On our way back, the bus stopped so many times and I couldn't sleep well. Every time when the bus would start driving, then I would sleep and every time the bus stops I would wake up because I thought that we reached. How I wish that it was the case but it wasn't!!! I could even dream in my sleep also while we were traveling by bus. My dream was so intense that I would wake up with a headache.

Last Picture before go back KL!

Soon we reached KL and Josh, Ivy and I had to rush to get a cab to go to church. We were already late and we managed to take a cab that cost us RM10 each. Well we didn't care about the price as far as he would go fast and bring us to church. Fortunately we could enter the church just after the Praise And Worship and get a seat. We thought that we had to be in the church lobby to watch through the TV. Yeah before that in the bus, I said to Ivy, "what's the purpose of arriving late to church and wear so nice Singapore clothes?" Which is true. We would sit outside of the church and wear nice clothes for nothing. Anyway we reached KL safely and we could reach church just in time for the sermon on "Does Fairy Tale Love Exist?"

finished - 12:08AM
